What's the difference between the Vertrex Swim and Max models. There's a lot!! The Max sinks twice as fast as the Swim to start with but there's much more to it. The Swim is a pat.pending design that actually swims when sinking and then vibrates when you lift it. The swim CANNOT be fished on a straight retrieve and must be cast out and fished on a stop start retrieve. The Max CAN be fished either stop/start or on a constant retrieve and is also ideal for deeper water. The Vertrex Swim is typically fished in shallower water in lower current situations.
