Róbert Boženík’s first-half finish earned a resilient and tireless Potters a three-point triumph against the Tigers to start 2026 in style. The Slovak striker finished Lamine Cissé’s cross to spark New Year’s Day delight with more than 2,000 travelling Potters, who saw their side go within three points of the top six. Boženik had to be replaced in the early stages of the second half after sustaining a shoulder injury but his teammates held firm to register their fifth win on the road in 25/26 and a ninth clean sheet of the campaign.
