Urocentre offers lithotripsy treatment, and in the last 10 years we have benefitted more than 1000 patients with ESWL or lithotripsy to remove their stones. In lithotripsy the stones are removed without any surgery, anaesthesia or scars. It's a one hour process that can be done without any stay in the hospital or disruption in routine work. Lithotripsy cannot be offered to all stones. It is useful in soft stones which are less than 25mm with a CT HU of less than 1000-1100. The process requires many sittings and therefore it's a task of patience. In this video our patient describes her experience of lithotripsy for successful treatment of her 17mm stone.
