Plus, more than 100 of our tortoises and turtles have spent the last 4 months hunkered underground as winter grabbed hold of New Jersey. Snow, ice, frigid temperatures and other wintery conditions came and went as they stayed put, somewhere in the earth. But, spring is showing its beautiful face and it’s time once again to release these animals from their hibernaculums so they can be reunited with the sun and the brand new season!
