I’ve been writing lyrics and verse since 2023, but today marks a huge first for me: finally turning those words into music. This project represents my first leap from the notebook to the studio. Important Clarifications Lyrics & Melody: Written and composed entirely by me. Vocals: Created with AI assistance and refined/arranged in Audacity to bring my vision to life. I’m "coming clear" with this debut and truly hope you enjoy the heart I put into these verses. In Case You've Got the Time to Read Since 2023, I’ve poured my heart into writing poems and lyrics, but I’ve always kept them tucked away because I didn’t feel my own voice could do the emotions justice. To finally bring these songs to life, I’ve used AI-assisted vocals. This allowed me to bridge the gap between the music in my head and what you hear today. While the voice is digital, the soul, the melody, and every word are 100% mine, hand-edited (is that a word?) in Audacity to capture the exact feeling I intended. Here are the lyrics as sung in the video: O' sky, do thou recall the day, The heavens turned violet-blue? Rained mourning rains of dismay, And the world took on a crimson hue? T'was a golden dawn—soft breezes swept, I stood on the porch, my hair unkempt, Ginger glazed with gentle grace, Down my neck and necklace. I ope'd my eyes, a violet hue, Firmaments were never a pale blue, You wept blood-rains soaked in reprieve, In a vain, futile attempt to relieve— Me! Nay, my eyes were never violet-hued, Nor had the skies been crimson brewed, For my eyes bled hot streams down my cheeks, Like mountains weep at snow-capped peaks. Emotions outshone the foothills though, Those mounts of stone, and these of sorrow! Oh! How much I craved just a subtle trace, Of the hands that tied me my necklace… My gaze found a cloud with a cottoned lair, Where he now danced with angels fair, I cursed the clouds for stealing him so, And the angels waltzing with a beloved beau! As the clouds darkened in their grimmest show, Did the tattered flakes of granite know? That her lips still longed for that unkissed kiss? That her heart deemed the heaven a serpent’s hiss? When clouds part, Sol blazes a timorous ray O’ sky, I beseech you—guard that day! The dusk we mourned with floral wreaths, Mine of roses, yours of tempests and last breaths. Thank you for reading this. Here's to truth, passion and the power of vulnerability.
