HANDS ON: MICROSUTURING - PRECISION IN TECHNIQUE Claudio Julio Lopes received his dental degree from UNICID School of Dentistry in Sao Paulo, in 1989, and has obtained his specialty training in Periodontics in 1992, since when has worked in private practice. He is currently the coordinator of Periodontal Plastic Surgery and Introduction to Periodontal Microsurgery Program at Sao Paulo Dental Association. Besides the private practice, his activities concentrate on teaching the microsurgery principles to Implant, Endodontic and Periodontics. Micro-suturing is one of the most important steps in periodontal and peri-implant microsurgery. Therefore, it is necessary for the surgeon to undergo an extensive training in order to improve his motor skills by working with both hands under the microscope. In this Hands-On activity, attendees will have the opportunity to practice "Micro-Suture Geometry" in all its richness of details: angle of entry, bite size, direction of needle passing, lack of tension, symmetry and frequency.
