I’m back out on a repeat customer’s family farm working on a driveway that’s over a mile long. Instead of rebuilding the entire road, the goal for this job was to improve the drainage in the worst problem areas and make the driveway hold up better over time. On long farm driveways like this, water is usually the biggest issue. If you don’t move the water off the road, the gravel won’t last long. In this video I focus on cutting ditches, improving drainage, and reshaping the road where it needed it most. I also spend some time showing my John Deere AT14 Tilt Attachment on the skid steer and why it’s one of the handiest attachments I own. The AT14 provides 14 degrees of side-to-side tilt, which makes it much easier to shape slopes and cut drainage ditches without needing to bring in an excavator. It’s a great tool for dialing in grade and getting water off the road quickly. You’ll see: • How I improve drainage on long rural driveways • Cutting ditches with a skid steer • A closer look at the AT14 tilt attachment in action • Why this attachment makes grading work faster and more precise Sometimes you don’t need a full rebuild—you just need to fix the water problem and hit the worst spots. That’s exactly what we did here. 🔗 TOOLS & GEAR I USE As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. • Amazon tools & gear list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls... 🚜 EQUIPMENT I RUN • John Deere 335P skid steer • John Deere 60P mini excavator 🚚 TRUCKS • Ford F-450 work truck • Peterbilt 379 tandem axle dump truck 📌 ABOUT THIS CHANNEL Videos focus on excavation work, skid steers, mini excavators, equipment maintenance, job site tips, and real-world advice on running an excavation business. 👍 LIKE • COMMENT • SUBSCRIBE New excavation and equipment content posted regularly.
