Hydor just came out with the Hydor Smart Level Control which is a controller and auto top off system. It monitors the difference in air and water temperatures to either top off your tank, turn off your pump or sound an alarm. It has three readings - minimum water level, maximum water level and alarm level. At the minimum water level the unit will run as normal. If the water level goes below the minimum water level, it will trigger pumps to auto top off. At the maximum water level, the controller will shut off the pumps and if for some reason the water level reaches the alarm setting, the user will receive an audible and visual alarm on the controller. We love audible alarms - you always don't see the visual alarm. Sensor can be mounted to a acrylic or glass tank up to 3/8" thick with the magnetic suction cups as well as cord keepers to keep the probe at the appropriate level.
