Art Deco Inpsired Fan Earrings | Cord and Wire Wrapping with Jem Hawkes

For today's free wire tutorial, I'd like to share my original Art Deco Inspired Fan Design earrings. They could be changed subtly to create a pendant instead. I remain in love with Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Royal designs! This design was crafted using a combination of copper wire and nylon cord, but atlternatives are mentioned in the video. I created this technique after recording the monthly Your Craft Lounge vlog-cast with Fleur and Katie, which is also available on my YouTube channel, during which we looked at the jewellery at the recent Golden Globes. One piece in particular caught my eye; a gloriously regal Chopard necklace in gold, diamond and fancy sapphire. It struck me that Royalty inspired jewellery made a big comeback this year, and that fan shapes and pear drops are looking to be a big trend for the coming season.
