Using a HomeLink Garage Repeater. Programming an old BMW Garage Door Opener for Chamberlain

My Homelink would not communicate to my new garage door opener. Turns out they changed the "languages" the garage door speaks in the newer models. So for older homelink cars, you need a translator of sorts. The HomeLink Repeater solves the problem. The repeater speaks the old language and the new language. That way your car can be programmed to the old language and the repeater changes it into a form the new garage door opener can understand. Once you have that in place you can follow the standard instructions for setting up your car's homelink. I used this on my BMW and my Audi (2009 and 2007). Both work great after using the repeater.
