It is approximately 60 minutes from Malaga airport, 25 minutes from Gibraltar airport and 25 minutes drive to Puerto Banus. The marina is flanked with fine sands and clean and crystalline water beaches which have been awarded with the European Blue flag status. The pretty promenades encircling the port offer a variety of restaurants, bars and cafes. They have a great reputation for the local fresh seafood in the restaurants in the adjacent fishing village of el Castillo. The cosmopolitan atmosphere of Duquesa has made it a well known place for it´s mixture of different cultures and nationalities.Two nights a week the port hosts a unique Crafts Market, popular with the local residents as well as visitors. For golfers there is the Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed Duquesa golf and country club which boasts an 18-hole course, which features wonderful sea and mountain views, 3 tennis courts, squash, a fully equipped gym, snooker & covered swimming pool. Other golfing courses within a short drive away include: Sotogrande, Valderrama, Alcaidesa and San Rogue. The large sandy beach stretches for 1650 metres between the port and the rio de Manilva dotted with traditional Spanish Chiringuitos (beach bars) serving beautiful fresh fish at good prices.
