The Problem with Pros and Cons Lists: These lists rarely account for the actual weight of each item, letting us ignore the bigger, riskier truths our intuition is pointing to. Intuition vs. Logic: Our society often prioritizes logic, reasoning, and external approval, which makes it difficult to trust our "gut feelings" or spirituality. Why We Distrust Our Intuition: Reasons include a focus on external approval, the influence of trauma (being told our inner knowing is incorrect), people-pleasing, and anxiety. We also fear where intuition might lead, as it often points toward scary or difficult change. How Alignment Feels: When you are aligned with your intuition, it feels calm and peaceful.
