Is the issue solely about the sports event or the alleged safety concerns of girls on the university campus? In reality, it's about the Head of Department of a Law School who practices gender-based discrimination, showing hypocrisy by neglecting broken gates in girls' washrooms for months while threatening and abusing girls during sports events on the grounds of safety concerns in a government university campus. The focus is not only on the sports event or safety concerns but also on fundamental rights, including the right of choice, the right against discrimination, and numerous student rights. The School of Law, under Archana Ranka mam's leadership, lacks essential amenities like appropriate books in the library, proper legal journal subscriptions, and permanent faculties. She impedes students' growth by denying reimbursements for competitions like mooting, debating, and others and fails to allow any societies or committees in the department to operate efficiently. Thanks to the strict regime students are studying under, the last moot court competition held in such a prestigious law school was in 2014. Therefore, the students' concerns are not limited to the sports event but encompass everything the HOD has been doing and not doing since her return.
