The 8SE takes all the goodness of the original and adds a touch screen, better audio quality and a USB mic. I've used and abused my original 8S so I feel confident recommending this as one of my top action cam picks. The next step up would be real 4K 60FPS and stabilization at 4K 30. But those two features cost more money, so I think for most people this will be more than good enough.
