💥🎬 Watch my WPL C74 Suzuki Jimny RC crawler take on some scale terrain and Gurnard Beach on the Isle Of Wight for it's first shakedown after some major modifications! There are still some refinements to make but I'm very pleased with the result of a lot of tinkering to convert this leaf sprung model to a more flexible 4-link with coilover set up. As well as adding oil filled shocks, I have also lowered the centre of gravity by raising the top shock mount and modifying the front chassis plate to allow maximum articulation. The stock electrics and motor have been swapped for a WPL 2 speed with 370 motor, an ISDT esc90, DumboRC radio gear and a metal geared servo. I knew what tires I wanted to run on this rig so it was just a case of finding some sweet rims and I think these 1.2" carbon and ally beadlocks really suit the truck. Due to the larger tire diameter I needed to trim the wheel arches and then I added custom wheel arch extensions to finish the look. ⭐️ Much more to come on this rig, including a build guide so you can learn how to build one for yourself.
