Hello :) This is the requested transcription I did of the Earth, Wind & Fire song "Happy Feelin'". From their 1975 album "That's the Way of the World". Verdine White was the bass player on this track. This transcription can be found at https://www.muzento.com under Advanced - Learning Songs. What a busy bass line this is! But it still kind of floats along and doesn't weigh the song down (imo). The notation looks pretty daunting, but once you start to get the hang of it, it's not too bad. It's still pretty tricky and it takes some stamina to get through it, but it's not impossible :) A key thing for me was to use the open A string and to try not to shift unless I had to. The other thing (which I just discovered the night before recording this) was to use the harmonic on the 7th fret of the D string. I was playing those notes on the G string for a few days. The harmonic is much easier and it's closer to the sound I was hearing. Verdine is a really good player! I've only known EWF from their radio hits, but through requests on YouTube I'm developing more of an appreciation for Verdine's fine playing.
