Before we settle into the 5-5 rhythm, we gently open and deepen the breath into the lower lungs, side ribs, and back body. This prepares your system to breathe more fully and comfortably, making slow, steady breathing effortless. After about five minutes of coherent breathing, many people feel a noticeable shift: deep relaxation, mental clarity, emotional ease, and a calmer nervous system.
