Hepatic artery infusion (also called hepatic arterial infusion pump chemotherapy, or HAI) is an innovative treatment for patients with certain metastatic colorectal and bile duct cancers that affect the liver. When possible, the liver tumors are surgically removed, and chemotherapy destroys the remaining cancer cells. Sometimes the tumors can’t be removed because of their location or size, or the available treatments simply can’t slow the disease. At this point, some people are told by their doctors that chemotherapy is their only option. Or worse, that nothing more can be done. However, there is another option. It just hasn’t been widely available because it requires specialized training in surgical and medical oncology. Hadassah Hospital is the first hospital in the Middle East to provide hepatic arterial infusion. In this video, Dr. Mohammad Adileh a surgical oncologist, talks about the surgery. 🏥 Medical Treatment at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. ➡️Contact us: 📧 [email protected] WhatsApp: 054-807-9678
