Chenille yarn is different, because it covers neighboring threads with its long hair. We create a chenille yarn similar to printed yarn, with longer random stripes of single colors. We make a smooth transition between the different colors, and create use several shades of the same color, to simulate the different shade angles of the chenille yarn. Finally we add the hair to the yarn, so that it properly covers the fabric and adds some more randomness. The final result is quite convincing, don't you think?
