Serene by nature, the charismatic melody is accompanied by unique effects reminiscent of a gentle rain. The composer, Robert W. Smith, invites you to close your eyes and experience the soothing beginning of the rain and the gentle rumble of thunder. Although Victoria is probably the best place in Canada to play a piece about rain in the winter and it still be relevant, we would also like to take a moment to reflect on the recent rainstorms and the subsequent flooding that have affected thousands of people in the province. We acknowledge the assistance of the hundreds of our military members who have been called upon to respond, and we would like to dedicate this next performance to all those affected and involved.
