Chef Rodney Bowers is a Culinary Arts professor and coordinator in the Food Media program at Centennial College. His motto is, “kind hearts and hungry bellies are always welcome in my kitchen.” Before he joined Centennial College, he acquired a world of experience as a chef in Spain, Germany, Belgium, England and the United States. On top of all of that, he also opened his own restaurants in Toronto which includes Hey Meatball!, one of Canada’s first farm-to-table restaurants! Chef Bowers believes that sustainability is important for the future of the culinary industry, and works to incorporate sustainability into Centennial College’s programs. In this fast-paced interview, we follow him through the kitchens and restaurants of Centennial College’s Story Arts Centre.
