I tried free motion quilting (or FMQ) for the first time! After quite a bit of practice on some scrap fabric I decided to go for it on my beloved chicken quilt using my Kenmore (385.16221). I love how this scalloped quilting pattern looks like feathers or eggs! All of these scallops were done free hand and the only measuring was done at the beginning. In this video I share how I first measured out the scallop pattern, how I set up my domestic sewing machine set up for FMQ, the tools I used, and I demonstrate how to sew the scallops at the machine.
