What on earth was The Undertaker doing in the WWF Hardcore division?

Just after the WCW Invasion angle ended The Undertaker turned heel and aligned himself with Vince Mcmahon. He bullied and beat up people until he found his way into a WWF Hardcore title match against Rob Van Dam at Vengeance 2001. From there he mostly just destroyed cruiserweights in Hardcore title matches. The Hardy Boyz getting the worst of it. This whole thing was incredibly random and he didn't seem to face any actual established hardcore wrestlers. Maven was apparently the end goal. So today on Ring Of The Hawk we will see if the hardcore Undertaker American Badass can do the J.O.B or perhaps he needs to earn The Hawk respect!
