You all have seen Gandhi's photo. In all those photos Gandhi will be smiling. But his life is not simple. He had a very struggling life. In this video we will be going to see some important incidents that happened in Gandhi's life. On October 02, 1869 Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in Porbandar, Gujarat. Gandhi married at the age of 13.At the age of 19, Gandhi traveled to England to study law. After three years in England, Gandhi returned to India. In 1893, Gandhi traveled from India to South Africa to practice law. During a train journey, Gandhi was insulted because of his color. That made him feel bad. He voiced the problems of Indians living in South Africa against racism. He also motivated his friend Nadal to inaugurate the Indian national congress in South Africa. In 1902, Gandhi returned to India and he started practicing law in the Bombay court. In 1919, The All India Satyagraha movement was initiated by Gandhi. Satyagraha is a protest against British rules. But there was violence in many places. On April 13, 1919, people gathered to raise voice to release two Saifuddin Kitchlew and Satyapal at the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab. Jallianwala Bagh is a ground which has tall walls and a small entrance. British Army officer General Dyer entered the ground with his military force and closed the entrance started shooting the people who were gathered for protest. People can't run out of the ground because of tall buildings. There were 379 people killed but no record. People say more than 500 people died.1200 people were severely injured. This made Gandhi sad. In 1921, traveled across India and joined many people in the Congress Party. In 1929, at the Congress meeting, Gandhi declared that India wanted complete freedom. This made all to protest against British. In 1935 the British announced a committee for India independence. In 1941, Gandhi announced that he was stepping down from the leadership of the Congress Working Committee. After independence 1947 India and Pakistan separated. But Gandhi doesn't like to separate. He want Muslim and Hindu to be friends. Even after Hindu- Muslims problem Gandhi continue to help Indian Muslim after independence. Gandhi wants everyone to be friends. Everyone to maintain peace. Everyone is brothers and sisters but few don't like that. On January 30, 1948, A person named Nathuram Godse from RSS shooted Gandhi. After independence, 1969 a commemorative honor of the 100th birth celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi was issued currency with Gandhi. In 1969 government of India and Reserve bank of India worked and changed currency pattern in order to make sure currency is original or duplicate. So in all currency they started printing Gandhi images with watermarks. This is how now all the currencies have a Gandhi image. we are also happy to wish and praise him for his moral lead for India independence. Thank you
