‘He is insecure’: Iran’s Ayatollah surrounds himself by ‘ultra loyalists’ to not be betrayed

Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Michael Doran predicts Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is “very insecure” right now. “He has surrounded himself by ultra loyalists because he found out during the [Israeli] war that he was lied to by his own people,” Mr Doran told Sky News host James Morrow. “He has such distrust of the people around him, that were around him, because of the lies. “This has led him to surround himself now by ultra loyalists who are actually much more extreme in their political views than their predecessors.”
