Abstract: The environmental impacts of infrastructure materials have become a central concern. These impacts are intensified by aging infrastructure that threatens structural integrity and public safety. Addressing these challenges demands interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches integrating engineering, natural and marine sciences, and computer science. This presentation highlights innovative strategies for sustainable, resilient infrastructure materials. Dr. Ali Ghahremaninezhad is Miami Engineering Endowed Professor in the College of Engineering and Director of the Advanced Infrastructure Materials Research Lab at the University of Miami. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been the recipient of the prestigious 2019 NSF CAREER award. His research has been consistently supported (~$9,000,000 as PI) by NSF, DOD, USDA, NASA, FDOT, FDEP, and industry.
