Maryville Rebel Run 5K & Picking Up Our Cow | Hoag Vlog

Well, it's time for our first official run in Tennessee and we opted for the Maryville Schools Rebel 5K, a well managed event and great way to give back to the community schools. This was going to be my first run since Ragnar So Cal in April, and the first test on my knee, post 3rd meniscus surgery. After the race finally came a time we have been looking forward to for some time now....we were finally picking up our cow from the butcher shop! We purchased a full, grass fed 1,200 pound cow and it was finally done at the butcher shop. There is just something about knowing where your food came from and what process it went through to end up on your plate. Extremely grateful for the opportunity and thrilled to know we are going to be eating some serious meat over the next few months!
