MJ12 Design Studio was retained by Sira Naturals after their initial architect failed to produce and was terminated. Prior to being retained, MJ12/2WR met with the Sira team on site in Massachusetts to discuss the project and walk the existing building. The Scope of Work included development of 24,450 square feet of cultivation, processing, and operation space within a 20,000 square foot existing metal building. To accomplish the goal and provide the needed space, the team developed a mezzanine approach where a portion would serve as processing and the remainder as mechanical. REVIT was utilized to develop an accurate 3d model of the existing building. The team was then able to build on the REVIT model, fully coordinating all aspects of the design. The REVIT model also served as an exceptional tool for sharing the vision and spacial layout in 3d through renderings and gray-scale models. The facility includes grow, dry, trim, extraction, MIPS kitchen, packaging, and full operations.
