NOTE FROM TED: This talk represents the speaker’s personal views and understanding of dopamine production and goal-setting. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/t... The exploration of how slow growth and 'failures' are actually something to embrace and are actually necessary if you want to ultimately succeed. Casey Boshae is the founder of THE GENTLE PIT, a mission-based lifestyle brand that creates problem-solving, on-trend apparel for dog owners and champions animal rescue. Through their revenue and platforms, they provide funding and support to animal shelters and rescues across the United States. Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, Casey is passionate about supporting young women embarking on their business-building journey. She invests time in consulting, writing, and speaking on topics such as mindset, personal development, and entrepreneurship. Originally from Montana, Casey divides her time between the family dairy farm in the Bitterroot Valley where she was raised, and Los Angeles, California. When not traveling for work, she spends time hiking with her rescue dogs Walter and Olive, volunteering for rescue-related causes, spending time with friends and family and enjoying all that Montana has to offer. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
