The 9th edition of our quarterly webinar series was moderated by Chief Editor Prof. Nick Macklon, Editor Dr. Signe Altmäe, with a Periconception, Pregnancy, Children Outcomes Section profile introduced by Section Editor, Dr. Catherine Aiken. The event was held Tuesday 10th September 2024 in collaboration with the International IVF Initiative. The session featured presentations from Dr. Münevver Serdaroğulları, who explored the potential of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy in fertility treatments, discussing whether PRP holds real promise or if it is being overhyped in clinical settings; Jemma Garratt on the long-term outcomes of vitrified-warmed autologous oocyte cycles, providing valuable insights into the reliability and predictability of these cycles over an extended period; and our Periconception showcase article with Dr. Melissa van der Windt and Dr. Melek Rousian, who presented findings from the Rotterdam Periconception cohort study, examining the impact of parental alcohol consumption on embryonic and fetal development. The session concludes with audience questions and panel discussion, getting deeper into the clinical and practical implications of the topics raised in the presentations. The webinar gives an insightful overview of the latest research in reproductive medicine, offering viewers a chance to explore how these findings could shape future IVF practices and patient care.
