This is an evolution that reinforces our long-term, partner-led strategic focus. This change aligns our legal structure with our community-driven vision and positions DII to operate with greater transparency, stronger governance, and broader stakeholder involvement. With this change comes a new leadership structure designed to support DII’s ambitions and the needs of our growing community. Maurice Mortell, a long-time industry leader, has been appointed Chairperson of the Board. Michelle Wallace steps into the role of interim CEO, bringing years of operational experience and a track record of delivering impact across stakeholder groups. Remaining on the Board of Directors are Garry Connolly and Denise Cray, whose foundational work creating Host in Ireland has been fundamental in shaping DII’s voice, values, and community. Our Executive Council will continue to play a key role in the organisation by guiding operational priorities across four key pillars - Community, Events, Talent and Policy. The Exec Council will be supported by Workgroups that will continue to grow in response to sector needs. Over time, the Board of Directors will also expand to ensure representative and strategic coverage across all corners of the ecosystem.
