This episode we are joined by my colleague and good friend, Igor Djakovic, as we investigate the blood-curdling screams of Neanderthals coming from Le Roque Saint Cristophe, a troglodyte fortress that was occupied for 55,000 years. We then visit to Le Moustier, the type site of Neanderthal Mousterian technology, where Igor explains the importance of the site for human history, and gives as a rundown of recent excavations there.
