F35, also known as the Kjölur Route or Kjalvegur Road, is the legend of the Icelandic Highlands. The second longest road in the Highlands, its a must-drive for anyone who loves Iceland and the mountain roads! Our drive starts at the famous Gullfoss Waterfall (watch the full video of Gullfoss), and we head north from there with the Langjökull glacier on the left and Hofsjökull on the right. Interesting facts: The "middle of the Highlands" sign references municipalities that no longer exist: Húnavatnshreppur became Húnabyggð in 2022, and Biskupstungnahreppur became part of Bláskógabyggð. Make sure you pronounce those correctly :) Enjoyed the video? Explore the rest of my Iceland videos, and don't forget to subscribe – there's more to come!
