This city is sinking. Off the coast of Bohol is Batasan Island, an island that is sinking. We were lucky enough to hitch a ride with a local on their boat to the island, which was damaged due to Typhoons and storms, more than that the landscape changed resulting in a city that can be roof high under water during the high tide. The government wants to relocate the residents to the mainland but given its their home, their history and their livelihood, its understandable why they are reluctant to. #philippines #sinkingcity #underwatercity
