In this video, we will show you how to properly set up and balance your tonearm step by step to achieve the best sound quality possible. 1. Remove the stylus protection cap to ensure accurate adjustment. Avoid any accidental contact of the cartridge and stylus with other objects during the balancing process. 2. Set the Antiskating dial to 0 to prevent any sideways movement during balancing. 3. Once the tonearm floats and is balanced, secure it on the tonearm rest to prevent accidents with the stylus. 4. Set the scale on the counterweight to zero without moving the actual counterweight. 5. When the scale reads "0", adjust the entire counterweight with the scale to the desired tracking force. For Ortofon 2M Red and Blue cartridges, the recommended tracking force is 1.8g to 2g. If you are using cartridges from other manufacturers like Audio Technica, Grado, Sumiko, or Nagaoka, please refer to the manufacturer's website for the recommended force. 6. You can extend the weight range on the twin gimbal Dual tonearms by using a heavier counterweight such as from the CS 418 or CS 429. 🔗 Additional Resources: Video Stylus protection cap: • How to remove the stylus protection c...
