Portugal led by Cristiano Ronaldo gathered on Monday afternoon for a training camp at Cidade do Futebol (Football City), their training facility outside Lisbon, prior to their Nations League quarter-final against Denmark. The face-off will see two legs, with the first match scheduled for March 20 in Copenhagen and the second leg set to take place in Lisbon three days later. Cristiano Ronaldo, now at the age of 40, continues to lead Portugal as they aim for their second Nations League title. Portugal's head coach, Roberto Martínez, has also included several young talents in the squad. Among them is Geovany Quenda, a 17-year-old attacker from Sporting Lisbon. Quenda has showcased remarkable promise and is set to join Chelsea in the summer of 2026 after signing a seven-year deal. Portugal won the inaugural edition of the Nations League in 2019 but failed to qualify for the 'final four' in 2020/21 and 2022/23. In the group stage, Portugal finished top of Group A1, while Denmark came 2nd in Group A4. The quarter-final winners advance to the finals to be staged from 4-8 June 2025 in Germany or Italy.
