Roatan Diving 2024

We took a family trip to Roatan in early 2024 and I was able to do some scuba diving with my kids. I used a GoPro 10 mounted to a tray with natural lighting to shoot the video. I'm an experienced underwater photographer, but this was my first attempt at creating an underwater video. The hardest part was learning DaVinici Resolve since it's far more sophisticated than video editors that I've used in the past. Please be kind. We really enjoyed our stay on Roatan in the West End area at Luna Beach Resort and recommend it as a vacation destination. Their in-house dive shop, Blue Moon Scuba, was a pleasure to work with and made our children feel comfortable on the dives. The reefs around Roatan are suffering from macro algea and coral diseases, and you can see signs of this distress in the video. The same is true of many other destinations in the Caribbean. It's clear that the ocean needs our help!
