Haven Riviera Cancun

We took a vacation to Mexico and stayed at Haven Riviera Cancun, located between Cancun and Riviera Maya. This is an ADULTS ONLY resort. It is about 40 minutes from the infamous Hotel Zone in Cancun and about 15 minutes from the airport. We arrived Monday and left on Friday. The resort was beautiful and we really enjoyed it but we aren't creatures of habit with resorts and probably wouldn't return. They had 2 pools - one with spa music playing that was very laid back and the other that usually had an artist or DJ playing that was a little more upbeat. Both had swim up bars. If you are looking for a party resort, this wouldn't fit that vibe. Noting here though that the last 2 nights when the show was over the DJ took over and it turned into a club. The food was great and they offered several different types of restaurants. You needed a reservation for all of the dinner restaurants other than the buffet. Pros: Great Food Beautiful Resort Nightly Entertainment 24 hr room service Cons: Far from hotel zone if you want to enjoy nightlife Most of the drinks were mediocre (which isn't abnormal) but they did make a great espresso martini, spicy bloody mary and pina colada. We ended up drinking more red wine on this trip than anything else. I felt like they did great with the nightly shows but could've had more activities or entertainment during the day. Maybe we just didn't look hard enough for it but other than drinking in the pool or pool volleyball there wasn't much going on.
