Title reads: "Mr MacDonald's last homecoming". Funeral of politician and former Labour Prime Minister, James Ramsay MacDonald (also spelt Ramsey MacDonald). Various shots of Royal Navy Cruiser HMS Apollo coming into dock (at Liverpool?). Her ensign flies at half-mast. We see coffin being carried off ship by sailors. It is draped in Union Jack flag. London. Various shots of eminent politicians arriving at Westminster Abbey for funeral - including Stanley Baldwin, David Lloyd George, Neville Chamberlain, Count Grandi and Jimmy Thomas. Various shots of coffin being carried out of Abbey and loaded into a hearse. We see Prince Henry (Duke of Gloucester) shaking hands with Archbishop (of Canterbury?). Lossiemouth, Scotland. M/S of fishing boats in harbour. Flags fly at half-mast on boats. Various shots of funeral cortege moving slowly through village. M/S of pile of wreaths. M/S of coffin on deck of ship. We see the coffin being carried down gangplank and along quayside. More shots of funeral cortege moving through Lossiemouth.
