#SRPAY #truecrime #india #documentary Two young sisters, just 17 and 14 years old, left their home in Mumbai with dreams of starting a new life in Bangalore. Their family believed they had gone for work opportunities. But weeks later, their bodies were found in a rented room in Bhaktapur, Nepal — both hanging from the same rope. This shocking case has left everyone asking the same questions: How did these girls travel from Mumbai to Bangalore and then all the way to Nepal? Were they exploited or lured into a trap? Was this really a suicide, or is someone covering up a double murder? The sisters, Menuka Kandel (17) and Srijana/Sujana Kandel (14), originally belonged to Surkhet district in Nepal. Their family had shifted to Mumbai for a better future, but financial struggles and social pressure pushed the girls to make life-changing decisions. After briefly working in Bangalore, they suddenly relocated to Nepal, where they stayed in a small rented room for two weeks. On the night of 23rd July 2025, the sisters were seen recording TikTok reels, appearing cheerful and normal. Just hours later, their lifeless bodies were discovered in the same room. Police initially suspected suicide, especially after recovering videos based on the emotional Nepali song “Marerai Gaye Ni, Na Todine Maya Ho”. But many inconsistencies remain. Eyewitnesses mentioned that the girls were often seen with local boys, and chat history on their phones revealed conversations raising further doubts. Their parents strongly believe they were not the kind of daughters to take their own lives, insisting there must be foul play involved. This case continues to puzzle investigators, raising concerns about exploitation, social media pressure, and the vulnerability of young teenagers.
