It turns out, that it is possible to beat the game without Needolin, entering The Citadel through Wisp Thicket. You need Bell Beast, but can avoid Widow and Phantom/Last Judge, making it only 5 bosses required to beat the game. (Or 6 if you want to go fully glitchless and do Trobbio). Some common Q/A Yes, Bell Beast can be skipped. But we need to do it to escape The Slab :(. Yes, Sharpdart is more convenient to do the Mt. Fay skip. But it is locked behind Needolin, as you need to play to open the door to the Weaver's Nest in Wormways. As far as I know, you cannot go through The Mist without having Needolin in your inventory. I did not datamine this personally, but there is a few people that have, and that is the current consensus. About the video editing: The path animations were done with the Fusion Component in DaVinci Resolve, a free editing software. I made them by hand animating a Polygon node's length through time, and adding images and effects on top of everything. It takes some work, but the result is not bad!
