there is nothing quite so nice as being able to talk to your computer and have it understand what it is that you want it to do. DragonDictate from the company Nuance is excellent at giving you some freedom from the keyboard and typing. Here are few tips and tricks to help you get the best from using DragonDictate. I show you that it is a good idea to have the recognition window open and giving you some suggestions in case the speech recognition needs a little bit of help to work out what it was you actually meant in dictation. It is also useful to set this up so that when you are dictating you can leave a space in between certain words so that you can have Dragon do it do some easy capitalisation for you. It is also possible to add custom vocabulary to your DragonDictate dictionary to further enhance your dictation process and speed of dictation. In the next video I will be showing you how to use DragonDictate to control other applications. This video shows you that you can use the Available Commands Window to show you what commands are available for that application that you are working with. It is a good idea to have this window open so that you can see what is possible and to get some ideas of which commands are going to be most suitable for your way of working.
