Victoria Island is a large island in the Arctic Archipelago that straddles the boundary between Nunavut and the Northwest Territories of Canada. It is the eighth-largest island in the world, and at 217,291 km (83,897 sq mi) in area, it is Canada's second-largest island. -wikipedia Places that we visited: -Inner Harbour -ChinaTown -Legislative Assembly of British Columbia -Hatley Castle (Xmen's Filming Location) Nice sunny day when we arrived on foot. The Legislative Assembly of BC is the most iconic landmark in Victoria. A magnificent beautiful historical building that is a must-see. The remarkable Hatley Castle served as a filming location for the “The X-Men” movie series, as Professor Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. It was a well worth visit to see the impressive building and gorgeous gardens surrounded. Visiting inside, however, requires reservation plus more people. Fans of the "Poltergeist: The Legacy" and "Smallville" TV shows and the X-Men movies will recognize the castle, but a trip to its museum will give you the interesting background of it. It originally was built by James Dunsmeir, and later become a military college before becoming part of Royal Roads University. Tour the castle and learn a ghost story or two, and also tour the grounds for the beautiful Italian, Japanese and rose gardens. I hope you all like and enjoy it.
