Date filmed: Tuesday the 8th of July 2025 Videos filmed between 12:06 and 12:50 Route: Birmingham to Peterborough Line Narborough (NBR) Station Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barrier crossing with CCTV (MCB-CCTV) Filming location: Station Road, Narborough (LE19 2HR) A level crossing on the line between Leicester and Nuneaton in the village of Narborough, just outside the former. It is located beside Narborough Station and signal box, and although the signal box is very well-kept it has been out of use for quite a while. Other than the LED wigwags and new 'Hydraulic Technologies'-branded 2024-plate barriers, the crossing appears to date back to the early-mid-2000's in its current form. One of the off-side wigwags has been hit round quite considerably by a high vehicle at some point, though, as you can note. Rather unusually, freight and unusual moves outnumber passenger trains in these videos, with the latter solely featured to showcase the usual users of this line and station. The video is started by a Class 769 being dragged towards Leicester by a grumbling Class 37, yet another excellent catch during an excellent morning around the area, and followed by two freight trains interluded by two stopping passenger services.
