Antireflux Surgery - Lessons Learned over 4000 Operations

With the advancement in minimally invasive techniques, the number of antireflux procedures has significantly increased. However, one of the major challenges is redo antireflux surgery. Several factors, such as altered anatomy, dense adhesions, tissue scarring, and the presence of mesh from previous surgery, can add to the complications of antireflux surgery. This may adversely affect the outcomes. Taking down a prior fundoplication and re-establishing normal anatomy can often be daunting. In this regard, Docplexus, in association with the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES), has organized an interactive webinar on 25th Oct 2020, 9 pm onwards.
