hi friends welcome to our channel Travel Junkie,continuing our Ahmedabad series of videos, in this video we will be taking you on a tour of Adalaj Stepwell which is also known as adalaj ni vav, this step well is 15 Kms from Ahmedabad Airport and about 23 KMs from Ahmedabad railway station, from parking we need to walk to reach this stepwell and here we are at the ticket counter and you can see the ticket prices are rupees 25 for Indians and rupees 300 for foreigners and for kids below 15 entry is free, and after ticket counter you can see a small garden area which leads to the step well, this stepwell was built was built in 1499 to hold water, provide refuge to travelers and local people, and offer spiritual sustenance, Hindu King Rana Veer Singh started construction of the Adalaj ni vav but King Rana Veer Singh was killed in battle and Queen Rudabai finished its construction, and is considered as a fine example of Indian architecture work. here we are entering the step well and you can already see some beautiful scultors on pillars , lets go in and check out the down ward portion of the stepwell, well this is really a beautiful place and I can't stop praising the beauty and architecture of this step well, if you love Indian archtural techniques ,t hen you will surely find this place amazing, it has 5 storeys, as you go down the storeys it becomes darker and darker and a bit spooky, temperature also drops as you go down, it is said that at the bottom temperature usually is 6 degree celsius lesser that surface temperature and her we are at the bottom and reached the well, here there are three entrances to the well and well has been closed for safety purpose and it is too dark to even see weather there is water in well or not , so all in all guys this is one nice place to visit and you can wrap up the tour in 30 minsutes to 1 hour, you can see the the hole from the top, may be the buckets used to be dropped with ropes from top to pull up water, so that was the tour guys , do let us know your thoughts in the comments section and do like the video and don't forget to subscribe to our channel, we end our ahmedabad series and we will be back new series of videos, till then bye bye adalaj stepwell adalaj stepwell history adalaj stepwell adalaj ahmedabad adalaj stepwell and rani ki vav adalaj stepwell location adalaj stepwell is known as adalaj stepwell history stepwell of adalaj
