From the breathtaking Batu Caves to the ultra-luxurious Pavilion Shopping Centre, this day was full of adventure, beauty, and surprises—plus, experiencing it all while fasting during Ramadan made it even more special. Starting the Day with a Surprise Gift 💐 Since it was the anniversary of our legal marriage, I wanted to surprise my wife with flowers, but finding the perfect bouquet turned into a mission! After searching around, I finally found some beautiful ones at a good price. Then, I remembered my wife needed a modest swim hijab for when we go swimming, so I bought that for her too. Exploring Batu Caves While Fasting! 🏔️ Next, we headed to the famous Batu Caves, one of the most iconic tourist attractions in Malaysia. As soon as we arrived, we were amazed by the giant golden Lord Murugan statue and the colorful stairs leading to the cave entrance. The climb was tough—especially while fasting in the heat of Malaysia—but we pushed through! Once inside, we realized the cave is a Hindu religious site, so we took in the views, captured some photos, and respectfully made our way back down. At the bottom, cheeky monkeys were running around everywhere, stealing food and playing with visitors. Swimming in the Rain & Visiting a Beautiful Mosque 🌧️🕌 After Batu Caves, we went back to our apartment and decided to relax by swimming in the pool—but Malaysia’s weather had other plans! 🌧️ It started raining heavily, but honestly, it made the experience even more fun. Later, I visited a beautiful local mosque to pray Asr. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning interior made it a truly spiritual experience during Ramadan in Kuala Lumpur. Luxury Shopping at Pavilion Mall 🛍️ Our next stop was Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the most luxurious shopping mall in Malaysia. Walking inside, we were blown away by the elegant Ramadan decorations and the sheer size of the mall. It was filled with high-end brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Rolex—a true showcase of Kuala Lumpur’s modern side. We found a stunning rooftop café with a perfect view of the Pavilion Shopping Centre, but the prices were crazy expensive—a £9 soufflé, almost like being back in Europe! Ending the Day with Delicious Food 🍝 After a long day of exploring Kuala Lumpur, we were exhausted. Since we were still fasting, we decided to keep it simple and ordered a delicious pasta takeaway to enjoy in our apartment. It was the perfect way to end a day full of adventure, luxury, and spirituality. Final Thoughts on Batu Caves & Pavilion KL 🏙️ Kuala Lumpur is truly a city of contrasts, with its rich cultural heritage on one side and extreme luxury and modernity on the other.
