While recording a conference for Lars our Odyssey starts rolling and freezes up, eventually the screen would only show green lines when powered on. After this I contacted Convergent Designs and was shocked when, instead of a computer system, a live person answered. The surprises kept coming because instead of being transferred several times, waiting on hold for hours, and speaking to someone in India who had no idea what my equipment even was the gentleman who answered asked a few questions suggested a fix and when I told him I had already tried that and a few other options, he set up the return. I sent the recorder back to Convergent and, much sooner than I had expected, they sent me a message saying they had found a wire which had become disconnected. My Odyssey had been repaired and was on the way back to me. It's been 18 months now and I have had no further problems with the recorder.
