Quiet Walk in Asahikawa Station, Hokkaido | Japan ASMR Walk To begin my journey around almost the entire island of Hokkaido, I took an 18-hour ferry ride and landed in Tomakomai. From there, my journey to explore the region began. This time, I traveled from Sapporo to Asahikawa. Asahikawa is the second most populous city in Hokkaido after Sapporo. Located in front of the station is Sanroku-gai (3-6 Street), known as one of the largest entertainment districts in Hokkaido—second only to Susukino in Sapporo. Since it was a Saturday, the area had a fair amount of foot traffic. I also visited one of the iconic filming locations from the popular Netflix drama First Love. It features Tokiwa Rotary, a rare circular intersection in Japan.
