This is a full-scale reproduction by VGDB: The Video Game Database for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Master Quest. This reproduction takes the ROM used on the Ocarina of Time: Master Quest GameCube bonus disc released in 2002 and puts it on a playable cartridge for the Nintendo 64 This reproduction contains a full 28 page color manual, a custom die-cut Nintendo 64 box, and the cartridge itself. The cartridge plays on North American consoles without issue, but requires modifications to play on European or Australian consoles. It does not specify whether or not it works on Japanese consoles This release is individually numbered, with around 50 copies going on sale, and around 100 copies or so being made in total. The number on my copy is #6, which I was told was the lowest possible number that a customer could have gotten. The number is located on the inside flap on the right side of the box. The selling price for this reproduction was $60 The reproduction includes two VGDB stickers, and the box also has two holographic VGDB stickers on it. Inside of this unboxing, you also see a Consumer Instructions & Precautions Booklet, which all Nintendo 64 games included. This was not part of the original reproduction, but was something I added myself with a spare booklet I had to give a more complete look to the overall product All in all, my thoughts are that the reproduction is fairly good. The parts used for the cartridge were not from donor cartridges, and were actually made from brand new parts. The materials and textures of the cartridge feel identical to an original Nintendo 64 cartridge. The label on the cartridge isn't crisp, but it isn't blurry either. The art, text, and overall look to the die-cut box is excellent. The pictures are clear, and the text is crisp and legible. The manual has its issues, including a typo and some art inconsistencies, as well as the colors in the manual being noticeably more dark than an original Ocarina of Time manual. In my opinion these flaws are negligible at best, and don't diminish the overall quality of the product as a wholr As far as the actual cartridge goes, it plays great on real hardware, and feels like a real game that isn't emulated. Unfortunately the battery contact point on my cartridge is damaged, and my cartridge will lose its save, even after battery replacements. While I bought this for collection and display purposes, I also bought it to actually sit down and play through the entire game. It is a shame that until I can get it fixed, I won't be able to play it More information about this reproduction can be found on VGDB's store page: https://store.vgdb.io/products/g-zmq As well as their Instagram posts highlighting the reproduction: / byglt6efhun / bywqjg5lek3 If any of my videos support 720p60 or 1080p60, please make sure to watch the video in either of the two quality settings to ensure optimal playback quality!
